Caterpillar egg parasite
|
Trichogramma brassicae seeks out caterpillar eggs, in which to lay their own eggs. When the eggs hatch, the larvae consume the caterpillar egg contents and then pupate. It should be released as early as possible in the growing season to give best control. Trichogramma species are the most widely used biological agents in the world.
