A 30 ml vial contains purified mummies in sufficient quantity to yield 500 or 1000 adults of Aphidius colemani. This tiny braconid wasp will sting and parasitise smaller aphids such as Aphis gossypii, Myzus persicae and Myzus nicotianae.

Release weekly at low rates as winged aphids appear in the crop. If colonies become established, make localised hotspot treatments or intervene at the economic threshold with a selective aphicide (eg pymetrozine, pirimicarb.) If aphids are suspected of transmitting virus or populations are high, use pymetrozine or pirimicarb (depending on local registrations in the crop) before releasing Aphidius colemani. Do not spray between release and mummy formation.
Use at the rate of 0.1-0.5 adult per square metre for preventative use. Dose rate may be increased 5-fold for hot spots.
Open in the greenhouse. Walk around the area to be treated, holding the open tube at a 45° angle, releasing the emerged adults into the air. Distribute the adults evenly over the area. Recap the bottle and store at greenhouse temperature until more adults have hatched. Repeat the distribution of adults daily for 2-4 days until most adults have emerged from the mixture. Finish by placing the open tube in the greenhouse next to a plant in case more hatch. Suitable for all greenhouse plants.
Transport and store at 6-8°C.
Keep out of direct sunlight. Use within 18 hours of receipt
